The voices that you hear in the audio work Do You Like Cyber come from bots of dating website Ashley Madison who are programmed to seduce male visitors to, for example, take part in online chat sessions. Vavarella selected the conversations of bots that, for one reason or another, behaved differently than they were programmed for. For instance, these bots started conversations with female visitors or with each other. By selecting precisely these conversations, Vavarella draws our attention to the increasing autonomy of artificial intelligence (AI).
